Al was a co-founder of the Tenth Street family of funds in 2005, and serves as Managing Director of the general partner for each fund. Mr. Duke spent over 23 years with SunTrust Bank and its predecessors in its Chattanooga, Tennessee headquarters. Mr. Duke served in the bank’s international banking group, trust group, community banking group and executive offices. In 1989, Mr. Duke became President and Chief Operating Officer of SunTrust Bank’s Chattanooga, Tennessee operations. Mr. Duke was responsible for a commercial loan portfolio of over $1.5 billion and trust account assets of over $5.0 billion. Mr. Duke earned a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Davidson in 1973 and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Harvard University in 1977.
Prior to the joint venture of Tenth Street Capital and Morgan Keegan’s Private Funds Group , Bill joined Morgan Keegan in 2000 as a founding member of the Private Funds Group, which formed the Morgan Keegan Mezzanine Fund, L.P (and SBIC-licensed fund) and the Morgan Keegan Strategic Fund. Before joining Morgan Keegan, Bill worked for Sirrom Capital Corporation (later Finova Mezzanine Capital) and First Union National Bank. Bill has more than 15 years of direct investing and portfolio management experience. Bill received an MBA from Vanderbilt University and a BBA from East Tennessee State University.
Casey began his career as an analyst at Wellington Management Company, LLC, an investment company in Boston, Massachusetts, and was employed by Joseph Decosimo and Company in 2004. He has been with Tenth Street since its inception in 2005 and serves as a Manager of Tenth Street Capital, LLC. Casey earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from East Tennessee State University in 1998 and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2004. In 2003, Casey earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
